Rockfall Barriers (High Energy Absorption Barriers)
Recently, there is an increase in the requests for Rockfall Barrier. Usually, clients choose rockfall barriers when the risky area is:
- Large or very high or very expensive to be treated
A rockfall barrier is an engineered structure between the risk and the target. Artusa can design the required barrier, and choose to purchase the required system from a supplier, which the client simply needs to install on-site. The barrier installation normally requires minor site preparation and bolts and wire rope anchors for support.
Barriers are rated in kilojoules (kJ) and we calculate the energy potential of the geological hazard and select a system to suit. If suitable, Artusa recommends scaling the risky area prior to fence installation in order to extend the service life of the barriers installed.
